Margaret Lucille Howard Wright

Margaret Lucille Howard Wright, 85, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Connersville, IN, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Esther Cregor Howard; retired from Lib-Anna Shoe store and had worked at the Goodwill Store; was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church; and loved watching UK, dancing, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Wright in 1997; a step-daughter, Teresa Durbin in 2005; a step-grandson, Keith Peercy in 2006; and step-sisters, Barbara abd Sue Ward.

She is survived by sons, Gary E. Wood (and his fiance' Laurie Bartlett) of Panama City, FL and Mark (and his wife Kathy) Wood of St. Petersburg, FL; her 101 year old step-mother, Gladys Howard of Michigan; a grandchild, Melissa Wood; great-grandchildren, Emily and Trevor Wood; sisters, Mary Melhiser of Owensboro and Merle Huber of South Bend, IN; a half-brother, Harold Howard; half-sisters, Juanita Mansfield and Shirley Simons; nieces, Saundra (and Lawrence) Kirchheval and Sheila (and Randal) Hagan; a nephew, Tim Melhiser; step-sons, Mike Wright of Owensboro, Carl Wright, Wilbur Wright, Jr. Ray Wright and Joseph Wright all of Philpot, and Thomas Wright of Danville, KY; step-daughters, Kay Hagan of Owensboro, Joyce Wright of Sarasota, FL, Margaret Roby of Philpot, Faye Small, Joana Westerfield and Becky Luckett of Masonville, and Kathy Cox of Lexington; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Services are 10 A.M. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with Father Freddie Byrd officiating followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday and after 8:30 A.M. on Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home. The rosary will be said at 7 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
