Margaret Varble

Margaret Rose Chapman Varble, of Owensboro, passed away December 27, 2016 while in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born in Detroit, MI to the late Rufus and Margaret Snead Chapman. Margaret was a long-time member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Rusty Varble; sisters, Faye Gardner, Wanda Phillips; and nephew, Curtis Terry.

She is survived by sons, Leslie Varble and his fiancé, Jacqueline Bennett, Curtis Eugene Varble; daughter, Lisa Potts and her husband Terry; grandchildren, Donnie Wayne Wilson, Nathan Scott Frashure, Nicole Frashure, Jacob Varble, Cassie Varble and Jeremy Anthony; six great-grandchildren, sister/niece Nancy Cross Spiller and her husband Winton Spiller Jr. (Col. U.S. Army Retired); adopted sister, Lois Cooper and her husband Roger; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Dr. James Wedding and Rev. Dale Rouse will be officiating. Burial will take place at Roselawn Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
