Margaret Cecilia Smith

Margaret Cecilia Smith, 92, of Owensboro, died, Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Owensboro Center. She was born in Daviess County to the late George and Arlean Mattingly Haynes and was a member of Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John A. Smith and her sisters, Theresa Haynes and Mary Ann Manders.

Survivors include her children, William "Bill" Smith and his wife Tina of Owensboro and Doris Britt and her husband Bodie of Lake City, SC; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at Noon on Tuesday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and after 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Saints Joseph and Paul Building Fund.
