Margaret Louise Simpson

Margaret Louise Simpson, 86, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Owensboro Place Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 6, 1922, to the late Jeff and Ivey Hope Hendrix in Logan County. She retired from General Electric after 48 years of service, and was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, walking, and being with her family.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chauncey Moore, in January, 2008, six brothers, Dallas, Tommy, Eugene, Lawrence, Jeff and Sherman Hendrix, and two sisters, Rena Montgomery and Opal Lott.

Survivors include her daughter, Darlene Ham of Owensboro; three granddaughters, Patti (Bill) Fireline of Maceo, Samantha Durham of Owensboro, and Lorie (David) Buskill of Owensboro; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Austin Hendrix of Dunmor, Ky.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
