Margaret S. Robinson

Margaret Robinson, 91, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born May 24, 1933 in Logan County to the late Rodney and Susie Bond Hildabrand. Margaret was a retired clerk with the Daviess County Property Valuation Administration, then later worked for Sears, Roebuck, and Co. for several years, and was a member of Maceo Baptist Church. She was an avid U.K. basketball fan, loved spending time with her family, playing cards, and was a member of the Goel Chapter #104 Order of the Eastern Star. Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband, William Glen “Smitty” Robinson in April of 1969, a brother, James Hildabrand, and two sisters, Izora Mullen and Mary Ann Arnold.

 Surviving are her sons, Bobby Robinson (Brenda) and Michael Robinson, all of Owensboro; five grandchildren, Glen Robinson (Sarah) of Owensboro, Jason Robinson (Maura) of Richmond, Virginia, Madison Tyma (Andrew) of Lexington, Noah Robinson of Owensboro, and Ruby Robinson of Owensboro; five great grandchildren, Rosemary, Poppy, Myles, Mazzy, Monroe, and two more on the way; a brother, Joe Hildabrand (Nancy) of Russellville, a sister, Bessie McElwain of Warner Robins, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be Noon Friday, January 17, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rochester Cemetery in Butler County. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
