Margaret Pendleton Roach

Margaret P. Roach, 83, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System surrounded by her loved ones. She was born May 18, 1922 in Daviess County. She worked for 40 years at General Electric, was a member of the Baptist faith, enjoyed shopping, dancing, flowers and being around family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Wilbur Lee Roach, in September 1980, three brothers, four sisters and a grandson.

Survivors include her daughters, Emma Stinnett and her husband, Lanny, of Maceo, Marty Maglinger of Owensboro and Alice Anderson of Ft. Gaines, GA; grandchildren, Gerald Von Trey Anderson, III, David Lee Anderson, Leslie Jana Anderson, Lisa Ling and Lee Allen Stinnett; great-grandchildren, Andrea and Garret Ling, Hannah, J.J. and Stuart Anderson, one sister, Florence Vanwinkle of Evansville, IN.

Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday and after 9:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Goodfellows Club, %Messenger Inquirer, P.O. Box 1480, Owensboro, KY, 42302.
