Margaret Susan Thomas Reynolds, 92, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Wellington Parc. Mrs. Reynolds was born near Smith Mills in Henderson County and spent her childhood years in Alzey, KY. Following graduation from Smith Mills High School she worked during World War II as a welder, building LST's in Evansville. Following the war, she worked at KenRad. She met Bethel Reynolds, who at the time owned the Grand Central Hotel. They married in 1952 at Marietta Georgia, a marriage that lasted until his death in 1965. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of Third Baptist Church, where she helped teach Sunday school. Also preceding her in death were her daughter Bethene Sue in 1973 and her parents, Felix and Lillian Herron Thomas.
Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her son, Dr. Daniel A. Reynolds and his wife Mary Martha, of Owensboro; her grandchildren Dr. Kyle Reynolds of Covington, and Kari Beth Adams and her husband Bart of Lexington; her great-granddaughter Sailor Belle Adams; and her sister Freda Werner and her husband John of Tacoma, WA. Her family extends special appreciation to all the staff at Wellington Parc for her wonderful care over the past 5 years.
Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
