Margaret Stinson Mcelwain

Margaret Stinson McElwain, 89, formerly of 712 George St., Owensboro died Monday, July 28, 2003 at the Leisure Years Nursing Home. The Logan County native was retired from the Owensboro Canning Company where she worked for 27 years. She was a member of the Parrish Avenue Church of Christ; and enjoyed quilting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Amos McElwain in 1965; a son, Royce McElwain in 1985; three daughters, Janice Fay McCoy in 1985, Pearl Bouleware in 1993, and Phyllis Ann McElwain in 1949; and a granddaughter, Hope Ann McElwain in 1981. .

She is survived by three sons, Billy McElwain, Darrell McElwain and Gary McElwain all of Owensboro; two daughters, Janie West of Owensboro and Louise Wilson of Stevens Port, VA; 23 grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Hortons Chapel Cemetery in Belton, KY Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M. on Tuesday, July 29, 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, July 30, and after 8:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 31.
