Margaret Martin King

Margaret Martin King, 87, of 421 East 3rd Street, Owensboro, died Sunday, September 15, 2002 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Daviess County, Kentucky on December 27, 2002 the daughter of Joseph and Mary Bray Martin. Her husband, Albert E. King, preceded her in death on September 28, 1999.

Mrs. King formerly owned Martins Bar in Owensboro. She was a member of Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed being with her family and loved her church.

Survivors include two sons, Allan King and Michael King, both of Owensboro; one daughter, Carol Alvey of Owensboro; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, officiated by Father Brian Roby. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2002 and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
