Margaret Imogene Baird Horn, 91, of 6020 Highway 1389, Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008 at the home of her daughter at 3900 Rudy Martin Drive. She was born in Ohio Co., Ky. to the late Charles Noble and Elsie Bennett Baird. She was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed playing cards with the kids and had been an avid seamstress having made quilts and baby clothes for her family. She had been a cook for 26 years at the former Jim's Bar-b-que on 18th. St. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse E. Horn on Sept. 28, 1998, a son, Frankie Lee Horn, Sr. on June 28, 2005, two grandchildren, Judy Gail and Dennis Lee Horn, her stepmother, Hilda Baird, and two brothers and a sister.
Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Diane Ferguson and a son, Charles Horn, both of Owensboro, four grandchildren, Bernie J. Ferguson and wife Debbie, Penny Lynn Horn, and Frankie Lee Horn, Jr. and wife Roxie, all of Owensboro, and Sara Jane Carrico and husband Jim of Lewisport, nine great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, three brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 12 Noon Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Yellow Creek Cemetery at Thruston. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
