Margaret Emogene Perkins Cook

Margaret Emogene (Perkins) Cook, 82, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation. She was born in Owensboro to the late Richard Wilbur and Mary Edith Perkins.

Margaret worked as a bookkeeper and receptionist for many years. However, she took special pride in her achievement of being mother to Richard Allen Cook, who preceded her in death in 2017. She was dedicated to caring for her beloved dog, Jacob, enjoyed visiting with relatives and found joy in gardening.

Margaret is survived by a sister, Anna Lois Quisenberry and her husband, Don of Greencastle, IN; granddaughters, Beverly Clark and Stephanie Russell, both of Owensboro; great-granddaughter, Kira Clark of Owensboro; nieces, Deb Metcalf of Paris, IL, Kathy Berlin of Terre Haute, IN and Susie Grivas of Greencastle, IN; and other nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Emogene's request, no services will be held.
