Margaret Loving Williamson Cavitt, 60, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Margaret was born in Bowling Green to George McKinley Williamson, Jr. and Frederica Head Williamson. She graduated from College High School before moving to Owensboro to attend Kentucky Wesleyan College where she was very active as a member Kappa Delta sorority, was a Sigma Nu sweetheart, a cheerleader and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. She did her first year of teaching in Powderly, KY, returning to Owensboro to spend 15 years at Tamarack Elementary School before spending a year in Lexington at Southern Elementary School. Margaret returned again to the Daviess County Public School System, retiring from Eastview Elementary School. Active in all things education, she had received her masters and her rank one in school guidance from Western Kentucky University; she was a substitute teacher and had been a guidance counselor at Cravens Elementary School. Margaret loved children and would go out of her way to care for any in need, but it was the love of her own children that sent her all across the state of Kentucky never missing a school or sporting event. She never met a stranger and welcomed anyone into her home with graciousness and warmth.
She was preceded in death by her father, George McKinley Williamson, Jr.
