Margaret Viola Moore Bullington

Margaret Viola Moore Bullington, 90, formerly of Owensboro, passed away on September 29, 2014 at her residence, Millers Merry Manor. She was borm in Newburgh, In. on November 11, 1923 to the late Oscar and Maude Moore. Margaret married the love of her life Mose Bullington, Sr. in the midst of WWII. She was of the Baptist faith and faithfully attended Hall Street Baptist Church.

Margaret read her Bible daily and sang joyfully in the choir. She loved singing old gospel songs, Big Band Hits and yodeling to Johnny Cash. Margaret loved to travel and was always up for a trip anywhere. She retired from General Electric in the 70's and was always proud of the fact that she had made some of the tubes that were in the first lunar space modules.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Mose Bullington; daughter, Mary Margaret Bullington Pierce; sons, Samuel David Bullington and Mose Nicholas (Nicky) Bullington, Jr.; siblings, Billie Orth, Lucy Bates, Goldie Knott, Eloise Birkhead, Roy Moore, and Oscar Moore, Jr. and a grandson, Matthew Pierce.

Survivors include her son, Larry Edward Bullington; grandchildren, Tracy Pierce, Lisa Nicole Lawson, Jon Bullington, Mark Pierce, and Mary Alice Pierce; great- grandchildren, Amber, Nicholas, Trevor, Mark Alexander, Christian Jane, Emily, Jon Jr., and Samantha; great-great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Isaac, Ava, Jayden, and Samantha Renee; brothers, Daniel Moore, former daughter in laws, Barbara Jean, Anne, and Melissa and several nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Service are at 12 noon on Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Wednesday.
