Margaret Johnson Allen

Margaret Allen, 91, of Owensboro passed away Saturday March 11, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Allen was born October 26, 1925 in Napfor, Ky. to the late Otis and Nellie Dayton Johnson. Margaret was a member and volunteer at Mended Hearts and Golden Partners in Owensboro.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lewis Allen; sister, Jessie Lee Belcher; brother, Donald Johnson; also, her daughter Peggy and her husband Marvin.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter; Patricia Henning and her husband Roger of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; a son, Ray Allen and his wife Eileen of St. Paul, MN.; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Herbert Johnson, Walter Johnson, and William Johnson.

The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Margaret's friend and caregiver, Jenny Hinch.

The service will be 12 PM on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Randy Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Ky. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM and Wednesday after 10:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to American Heart Association.
