Mamie Neal Offutt Pierce

Mamie Neal Offut Pierce, 76, of 1712 East 21st Street, Owensboro, died Saturday, December 29, 2001 at her home. She was born February 14, 1925 in Daviess County, Kentucky the daughter of Arthur Goeble and Melvilla Newcom Neal.

She retired from the meat department at Wetzels Grocery, attended 1st Assembly of God Church and was a Democrat judge for 19th Precinct for 17 years.

Survivors include two sons, Earl M. Felix and W. David Offut, both of Owensboro; a daughter, Annette Felix Conrad of Owensboro; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five brothers, Cloral Ray Smiley Neal, Charles Welborn Neal and Walter Leon Neal, all of Evansville, and Robert Dailey and James Dailey, both of Owensboro; six sisters, Ella Mae Peay and Henrietta Thomson, both of Owensboro, Ruby Worthington of Evansville, Blanch Warden of Ingleside, IL, Sarah Christiansen of Kansas City, MO, and Mary Catherine Wood of California; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens with a committal service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2002 in Christ Chapel. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2001 and after 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
