Mae T. Basham

MAE T. BASHAM, of Lewisport, Kentucky, passed away at Heartland Village Nursing Home Sept. 6 ,2012 at the age of 94. Mae was a devoted wife and Mother who loved and worshiped our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mae was born July 2, 1918 to the late Anthony Logsdon & Lilly Jane Basham Logsdon. She was loved by all who ever met her. She loved to read her Bible, quilt, and travel these United States. She was a member of the Golden Years Quilting Club serving as President for 18 years. She pieced her last quilt at the age of 90. Mae was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Maceo. She will be missed by all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James H. Basham, a brother, Henry Earl Logsdon, & a sister Maggie Helen McCoy. Mae is survived by three daughters, Margurett (Bud) Crandall of Pineland, Texas, Velma (Earl) Harmon, and Jo Ann (Joe) Hurley of Lewisport. 5 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren, and 9 Great-Great Grand Children and a brother Edward (Mary) Logsdon of Owensboro. Funeral arrangements Are under the direction of Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro with visitation being held 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Funeral services for Mrs. Basham will be Saturday at l0:00 a.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Brother Steve Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
