Mable B. Watkins

Mable B. Watkins, 78, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away May 26, 2012, surrounded by her family at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in McLean County to the late Robert and Mary Alma McCain Greer. Mable loved taking care of people and spent much of her career as a caregiver. She was a wonderful mother and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ovela Gail Simpson in 1992; by her sons, Otis Ray White in 1973 and Roy Bennett White in 1978; and her son-in-law, Cliff Wodicka in 2008.

Survivors include her children, William (Teri) White of Owensboro, Danny (Gloria) White of Tampa, FL, Robert White of Goodlettsville, TN, Edna Payne of Marysville, OH and Katie Wodicka of Tampa, FL; sisters, Ida Lester and June Shearar both of Akron, OH; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Reed, Kentucky.
