Mable S. Gaddis

Mable Gaddis, 86, of 1319 West 3rd Street, Owensboro, died Monday, September 9, 2002 at Suburban East Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Daviess County, Kentucky on July 22, 1916 the daughter of Wilson and Dora Serles Salee. Her husband, George Clayburn Gaddis, preceded her in death on August 31, 1979.

Mrs. Gaddis retired from S.S. Kresge and was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. She was also a member of Class of Ruth Sunday school class. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, George Gaddis of Humbolt, TN and Charles Gaddis of Owensboro; three daughters, Susie Shepherd of Shepherdsville and Margie Ralph and Debi Cook, both of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2002 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Darren Gaddis. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2002 and after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
