Lynda Moore

Lynda Moore, 71, of Central City, passed away August 8, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Hospital. She was born in Owensboro, KY on October 14, 1946 to the late Charles B. and Mary Hazel Buck Martin. Lynda enjoyed oil painting, working in her flower garden and liked to travel. She looked forward to getting her hair and nails done and shopping with her granddaughter Katie. Lynda loved to cook, she was always known for cooking for her family members on each of their birthdays, including a cake. Her greatest passion was to spend time with her family, including grandchildren and great grandchild Brooklyn.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Phyllis Martin; and a brother, Kenneth Martin.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, David Moore; a son, David Moore II and his wife, Holly; a grandson, David Moore III and his wife, Gabby; granddaughter, Katie Moore; great granddaughter, Brooklyn Moore; and two brothers, Eddie and David Martin.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 135 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd. Louisville, Kentucky 40202.

The funeral service will be 2pm Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Ron Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12pm till time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
