Lularose Trumbo Armstrong was called home by our Lord Jesus on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at her home in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born on December 7, 1918 to the late Oscar and Alma Gowers Trumbo in East St. Louis, Illinois. She was a member of The First United Presbyterian Church for 78 years. She was preceded in death by her husband William O. Armstrong, who died October 30, 1995.
Mrs. Armstrong is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Brookman and her husband Joseph Brookman, one granddaughter, Lucretia Hopkins and her husband, David Hopkins, and one great-grandson, Harrison Hopkins, all of Owensboro, one brother, Avery Trumbo of Centralia, Illinois, three nieces, one nephew, two great nephews , one great-niece and several cousins.
Graveside services will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Centralia, Illinois on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Ed Evans, Pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church officiating.
