Lucy Earl Winstead

Lucy Earl Winstead, 66, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the home of her daughter surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 25, 1947 in Daviess Co, to the late Beckham and Marie Blair Earl. She was a homemaker and member of Third Baptist Church. She enjoyed Nascar and dirt track racing, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Smith Winstead on November 16, 2000, three sons, David Bell, Jr., Dewayne Bell, and Jessie Bell, a daughter, Jennifer Bell, two brothers, Beckham Earl, Jr., and William Earl, and a sister, Anna Hall.

Surviving are three daughters, Lydia and husband Archie Haught, Samantha and husband Barry Powers, and Noni and husband Michael Henderson, all of Owensboro, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two sisters, Patsy Earl and Katherine Williams, both of Owensboro, and a brother, Eddie Earl of Owensboro.

A Celebration of Lucy's life will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 4, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
