Lucy Mae Morgan

May 6, 1925 — April 13, 2007

Lucy Mae Morgan, 81, of 2323 Citation Avenue, Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 13, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was the owner of Grandmas Ceramics, a cafeteria worker for the Owensboro Public Schools and had worked for the Lourdes and Catholic High Schools Bingo Hall. She was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church. Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, Jake Rowe and Amy Hagan Westerfield, by a brother, J.R. Westerfield and by a sister, Mary Lee Dickens.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Vincent J. Morgan; her son, Charles (Red) and Mary Morgan of Owensboro, her daughter, Larain and Jim Ashby of Maceo; a brother, James H. Westerfield and a sister, Imogene Whittaker both of Owensboro and five grandchildren, Lisa Baird, Sherri Gilbert, Tonia Goodman, Jila Ashby and Venus Cornette; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday in the Immaculate Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. and after 8:30 A.M. on Monday at Glenn Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM on Sunday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Immaculate Catholic Church.
