Lucy Mae McCormick

Lucy Mae Martin McCormick, 88, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 9, 2012. She was born on November 1, 1923 in Utica to the late Raymond and Emma Martin. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church. Lucy was a very loving mother to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and had influenced the lives of many people during her life. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William E. McCormick on January 17, 1991 and a brother, Carroll Martin.

Surviving are her daughters, Ann and husband Mark Cox of Dallas, TX and Mary Leslie and Dr. Charles Bea of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Melanie (Justin) Conner and Taylor McCormick Cox, all of Dallas, Jason (Meghan) Bea of Murfreesboro, TN, Courtney Bea of Denver, CO, and Bethany Bea of Lexington, two great grandchildren, Julianne Bea and Zoe Mae Conner, and a sister-in-law, Muriel Martin of Lexington, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12 Noon Monday, March 12, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-5:00 P.M. Sunday and after 10:30 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
