Mrs. Lucille Yates, 75, of 1244 Yelvington-Knottsville Road, Maceo, died Tuesday, November, 23, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born January 1, 1929, to the late Reat and Martha Pryor Farmer in Daviess County. She retired after working several years at Hillcrest Nursing Home, attended Yelvington Baptist Church and was formerly a member of Peoples Baptist Church for over twenty years. She was dedicated to her family, she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Yates, who died March 25, 1993; two brothers, Harry and Clifton Farmer; and one sister, Margaret Conkright.
Survivors include, one son Ray and his wife, Lyn Yates of Tampa, FL; one daughter, Cindy Greenwell and her husband, Dale of Maceo; two grandchildren, Bradley Crump and Brittanie Hite; two great-grandchildren, Katie and Ashley Hite; three brothers, Harland Farmer of Owensboro, Paul Farmer of Maceo, James Farmer of Evansville, IN; one sister, Mary Young of Indianapolis, IN, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, and after 11:00 AM Saturday, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.glennfuneralhome.com
