Lucille Schweikarth

Lucille Schweikarth, 84, of Owensboro went home to be with Jesus Saturday, July 31, 2004 at the Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Knottsville on May 16, 1920, Mrs. Schweikarth was the daughter of the late Francis Titus Johnson and Petronilla Speak Johnson. She was a member of the Immaculate Catholic Church and retired from General Electric in 1981 after 35 years as an Inspector. She was a devoted and loving mother who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandsons and great-grandson and collecting antiques.. Mrs. Schweikarth was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J.C. Schweikarth in 1994.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Phillip Clark of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Courtney Clark, Dr. Aaron Clark, and Travis Clark all of Owensboro; one great-grandchild, Tyler Clark of Owensboro; two brothers, F.T. Johnson and Harold Johnson both of Owensboro; four sisters, Mae Hester, Margie Clark, Cecilia Hawkins, and Mildred Smith all of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 1 P.M. Wednesday at Immaculate Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 3-8 P.M. on Tuesday and after 9 A.M. on Wednesday. Prayers will be at 6 P.M. Tuesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Saint Josephs Peace Mission.
