Lucian A. Boteler

Lucian A. Boteler, 71, of 5670 Roby Rd., Philpot, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late S. A. & Virgie Mae Winkler Boteler. He was retired after 37 years with Green River Electric Coop. He was of the Catholic faith, was a Ky. Colonel, and had served in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by a son, Randall Boteler on August 2, 1982 and a son-in-law, Steve Bruton on Nov. 22, 2001, a brother, Joseph Charles Boteler, and four sisters, Catherine Elizabeth Higdon, Mary William Carrico, Regina Marie Boteler, and Sister Rose Ellen Boteler.

Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Rose Ann Boteler, two sons and their spouses, Lewis & Mary Boteler of Philpot, and Glen & Vicki Boteler of Hanson, Ky., three daughters and their spouses, Janet & Steve Haynes of Owensboro, Karen Bruton of Owensboro, and Linda & Bob Epling of Philpot, four sisters, Theresa Helen Coomes of Owensboro, Ann Jones of Grandview, In., Agnes Murphy of Lewisport, Ky., and Sister Rita Marie Boteler of Louisville, 10 grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 23, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in St. Williams Cemetery in Knottsville. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
