Loyce Galloway Ayer

Mrs. Loyce Galloway Ayer, 84, (formerly of Owensboro) passed away Friday, March 20, 2009, in Gas City Indiana. Born in Daviess County on March 26, 1924, Mrs. Ayer was the daughter of the late Ira and Olga England Galloway; was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church; and was retired from Owensboro National Bank. She moved to Gas City in 2007. Mrs. Ayer was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Ayer in 2007; brothers, Hugh Galloway and Ira Lee Galloway, and a sister, Ethel Sturgeon.

Surviving are a son, Larry (Linda) Ayer of Owensboro; a daughter, Patsy (Terry) Mitchener of Gas City; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Glenn Funeral Home with Bro. Tim McGuire officiating followed by burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
