Louva Violet Ford Medley

January 20, 1914 — June 14, 2004

Louva Ford Medley, 90, of Owensboro died Monday, June 14, 2004 at the Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Ohio County, Mrs. Medley was retired from Medley Distillery and was a member of the Walnut Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Wathen Medley in 1953, and a son, James Bernard Medley in 1991.

She is survived by two sons, Byron Edwin Medley and George Edward Medley both of Canton, TX; two daughters, Cora Ellen Hall of Elizabethtown and Margaret Stanley of Conroe, TX; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two brothers, C.W. Ford of Cromwell and Harlan B. Ford of Crown Point, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 10 A.M. Thursday, June 17, 2004 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 P.M. on Wednesday and after 8:30 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the James B. Medley Memorial Fund, %Owensboro Catholic High or the Western Kentucky Botanical Gardens.
