Louise "Josie" Williams Knott, 87, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday May 14, 2016 at her home. She was born in Daviess County near Friendship to the late Lonnie and Pearl Hazelrigg Williams.
Louise served as a receptionist at Modern Welding for many years and was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, and landscaping her yard. She was an excellent baker and seamstress who was totally devoted to her family, both immediate and extended. Everyone loved "Josie", "Nannie" and "Super-Nannie".
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight siblings.
Louise is survived by her husband of 10 years, Martin E. Knott; a daughter, Shawnee O'Hara and her husband, David of Clarion, PA; a son, Van Lashbrook and his wife, Diann of Masonville, KY; grandchildren, Chad Lashbrook and his wife, Jenalee of Lexington, KY, Katie O'Hara-Krebs and her husband, Andrew of State College, PA and Elizabeth Martin and her husband, John of Mt. Holly Springs, PA; great-grandchildren, Ava, Jack, Sarah, Stella, Ellena and Lincoln; special family members, Doris Williams, Doug Williams and Hannah Williams; step-daughters, Doris Ann Oelze and Carol Maglinger; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2 PM Wednesday, May 18 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 until 7 PM and after 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery.
