Lou Anna Shown

Lou Anna Shown, 88, of Owensboro, died Friday, April 27, 2007. She was born May 16, 1918 to the late C.C. and Ella Mitchell King in Ohio County. She was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church, a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bridge, couples golf and worked as a teller at Dundee Bank and beside her husband at Showns Sundries on Frederica Street in Owensboro.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Edward King and Eugene King, and a grandson, Trevor Grimes Wilson.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Coy C. Shown; her daughters, Mary Judith Wilson and her husband, Morven of Victoria, B.C. Canada, Sally Lou Shown of Louisville, KY; her granddaughter, Angela Lefevre of Louisville; sister, Mary Applegate of Louisville; brothers-in-law, Roy D. Shown of Owensboro and Ben A. Shown and his wife, Edie of Crestwood, KY; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. Dean Weber, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, KY. Visitation will be 2:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday and after 8:30 AM Monday at the funeral home.
