Lotus Ray Stogner, 55, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away September 12, 2016 at his home. He was born to Richard Horace and Ida Pauline Mallory Stogner in Philpot. Lotus worked as a heavy equipment operator for 28 years, and after retiring, worked for Castlen Welding. He was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. He loved to farm and spend time with his grandson.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Horace Stogner; and sister, Sue Wimsatt.
Lotus is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Pamila Stogner; mother, Ida Pauline Mallory Stogner; daughter, Debbie (Jeremiah) Burdon and their son, Elijah; son, Eric (Renee) Stogner; brothers, Doil (Charolette) Stogner of Reed, Hugh (Rhonda) Stogner of Henderson, and Roger Stogner of Whitesville; sisters, Lou (Don) Splittorft of Chandler, Indiana, Darlene (Greg) Yost of Henderson, and Jeanette Stogner (Gloria Downs) of Livermore; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
