Loretta Jean Ashworth

Loretta Jean Jeanie Ashworth, age 44, of 4332 Scotty Lane, Owensboro, Ky., died Sunday, March 11, 2001 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. A native of Daviess County, She was the daughter of the late Truman Ashworth.

Jeanie was the former general manager of Applebees Restaurant in Owensboro. She was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral, and enjoyed decorating her home, gardening, cooking and traveling as well as spending time with her family.

Jeanie is survived by her son, Brad Hagan and and his wife, Dana Hagan, of Whitesville, Ky. Her finacee, Glenn Calhoun of Owensboro, and Glenns son, Wesley Calhoun, and daughter, Ashley Calhoun, both of Owensboro. Her mother, Maudie Ford,and Step-father, Bill Bland, and her Step-mother, Marge Ashworth. Ms. Ashworth is also survived by a brother, Gary Ashworth of Lewisport, two sisters, Vonnie Williams of Philpot, and Debbie Willoughby of Owensboro, three step-brothers, Jeff Sexton of Woodbridge, VA., Joe Pat Sexton of Pittsburg, PA., Greg Sexton of Owensboro, and a step-sister, Cheryl Rieves of Ft. Wayne, IN..

Visitation will be held, Tuesday, March 13th, 2001, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. A prayer service will be held Tuesday, at 6:00 p.m.. On Wednesday, visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. until about 12:30 p.m., when the funeral procession will leave for St. Stephen Cathedral for the 1:00 p.m. afternoon Mass. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.
