Lorene Duncan Chambers, 90, formerly of 915 East 20th Street, died Wednesday June 20, 2001 at Hillcrest Health Care Center. She was born August 23, 1910 in Hopkins County, Kentucky, daughter of the late William and Jimmie McNeely Duncan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Jack Lee Chambers on April 17, 1996 and a daughter Eunice Crowe.
She was a member of St. William Catholic Church. She was employed for many years as a waitress for Gabes Restaurant.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette Lambert of Owensboro and Linda Hamilton of Philpot; one step-son, Conrad Keown of Highland, IN; three step-daughters, Lillian Snyder of Lake City, FL, Opal Check of Hawesville, KY and Agnes Wagner of Evansville, IN; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 23, 2001 at Christ Chapel in Owensboro Memorial Gardens, officiated by Father Marty Hayes. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friend at Glenn Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2001 and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
