Lonnie Berry Pate, 86, of Owensboro died Sunday, September 21, 2003 at the Leisure Years Nursing Home. The Daviess County native was retired from the Yellow Cab Company where he was a mechanic for many years and had also worked for the Evansville Shipyard.. He attended church services at the Salvation Army. Mr. Pate was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Pate in 1993.

He is survived by a sister, Ethel Richeson of Owensboro, three nephews, Marion Eugene Richeson and Mike Richeson both of Owensboro, and Charles White of Virginia; a niece, Alice Darlene Deal of Patronville, IN; two great-nephews, Casey Richeson and Charles Richeson both of Owensboro; four great-nieces, Shelly Davis , Darla Lou Henry, and Martine Durham all of Owensboro, and Debbie Henry of Henderson; and several great-great-nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends at the Glenn Funeral Home from 3-8 P.M. on Wednesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association.
