Lola Mae Neel

Lola Mae Neel, 94, of the Bishop Soenneker Home, Knottsville, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Smith Co., Tn. to the late Monroe & Amy Clariday Beal. She was retired from the Dietary Dept. at Kentucky Wesleyan College. She was of the Catholic faith and had been attending mass at the Chapel of the Bishop Soenneker Home. She was formerly a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Fidelas Sunday School class. She was a Ky. Colonel and very much enjoyed visiting with her many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Neel in 1970, three brothers, Elston Beal, James Beal, and Claud Beal, and a sister, Christine Walker.

Surviving is a brother, Roy Beal of Indianapolis, In. and her adopted daughter, Teresa Edwards of Owensboro, and several nieces & nephews.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, in the Chapel of the Bishop Soenneker Home at Knottsville. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 8:30 A.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 6:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
