Lois Fae Stinnett, 72, of Owensboro, passed away on November 2, 2025, under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky.
Lois was born in Evansville on December 2, 1952, to the late Homer W. and Martha Darnell Tesort. She was a devoted member of Church Alive, where she was actively involved and especially loved collecting toys for the church.
An avid bird watcher, Lois kept at least ten bird feeders in her backyard, ensuring every bird in the neighborhood was well fed. She also cherished her own beloved parrots, Dottie and Pooky.
Lois was full of energy and loved staying active, often spending time at the Health Park. She was also a devoted Elvis Presley fan, owning every one of his albums and movies. In her free time, she enjoyed watching NFL football and going fishing.
Above all, Lois deeply loved her family. She and her husband, Larry, shared 57 wonderful years together, raising two children and taking great joy in their grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marlene Skaggs, and her loving parrot, Dottie.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Larry Stinnett Sr.; daughter, Tina Davis and her husband Jeff Clark; son, Larry Stinnett Jr. and his wife Cheryl; granddaughter, Kerry Derrington; grandsons, Vince Stinnett (Jessica), Keith Stinnett (Shelby), and Zach Witaker (Tiffany); 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Randall Tesort (Becky), Kathy Keller-Priest, Vicki Cisco (Keven), and Larry Yonts (Rita), and her loving parrot, Pooky.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on November 4, 2025, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. A committal service at Resurrection Cemetery will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Resurrection Chapel.
