Lois Louise Morris

Lois Louise Morris was carried on the wings of angels to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 23, 2012. She was born on October 11, 1942 in Owensboro to the late Ernest and Violet Morris.

Aside from her loving parents Lois is preceded in death by her grandparents; Steven and Hattie Basham, and Katie May and Newton Morris, a sister; Barbara Peercy, who died on January 3, 2001, two uncles; James Roy Basham who passed away in 1970 and Kenneth Basham, four aunts; Beulah Morris and Libby Hall, Anabell Shelton and Nettie Basham, and a deceased cousin; Marvin Roy Basham, and cousin; Rick Shelton.

Left behind to mourn her passing is her loving sister; Brenda Ward, a niece; Kareena (Michael) Elverd of, a nephew; Scott Peercy of Pensacola FL, two great nieces; Ivy Stites and Kay Kay Everd, three aunts; Mary Basham, Shelby Jarboe ( Bobby), Eva Cameron and Bill Morris, and one uncle; Marvin Basham and a cousin; Corey Lee Elverd . She also leaves behind her adopted family at Owensboro Place (D Wing).

Among the passions in Lois's life were her family and the Lord. She enjoyed collecting stuffed animals, listening to Gospel music, and playing with her cards. She enjoyed fun, and every so often she was known to have a mischievous twinkle in her eye which was usually the precursor to some fun. She was eternally youthful in spirit and saw the world through a child's unbiased eyes.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 29 at Kelly Cemetery at 11:30AM with Brother Scott Ford officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday.
