Lois R. Daugherty, 82, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord Friday June 22nd 2012. She was born on March 5th 1930 in Evansville to the late Ellsworth and Mary Jane James. Lois worked for General Electric for 25 years. She was a caring and spiritual person who found joy in everything life had to offer. Lois was a member of Rushing Wind Church of God. She was also a member of the Daviess County Homemakers Club and the Senior Citizens Club-Golden Partners. Lois loved to cook, crochet, play Bunco, and take care of her family
Lois is preceded in death by a brother Richard M. James
She is survived by her loving husband Ira Daugherty; three sons Joseph Michael Terrell of Gary IN, John Richard White (Theresa) of Louisville, and David White of Owensboro; 4 step sons and 3 step daughters; two brothers John Wm. James (Ann) of O'Fallon, MO and Jerry K. James of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 25, 2012 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, officiated by Brother Shane Tucker with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 8:30 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
