Lois W. Boeckman, 75, of Owensboro, died Friday, December 2, 2005 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born August 23, 1930 to the late Frank Cambron Winstead and Ella Hundley Winstead. She worked at General Electric Company from 1948 to 1953, where she met her husband of 47 years, the late Joseph F. Boeckman.
She was an antique dealer for many years and a current dealer at Owensboro Antique Mall. She was also a free lance antique appraiser. She received a degree from the New York School of Interior Design.
She was an active member of the Republican Party, a past member of Fieldcrest Garden Club, and Owensboro Country Club.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Carla and Rob Matteucci of Cincinnati, and Elaine and Alan Vilines of Bowling Green, a son, Dr. David Boeckman and wife Kathy of Spring, Texas, seven grandchildren, a brother Charles Winstead and three sisters, Ruth Marks, Natalie Lanham, and Carol James, all of Owensboro.
Memorial services will be held at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. with the Rev. Pat Connell officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Trinity Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
