Logan Warren Lockhart, 34, of Owensboro, entered the gates of Heaven and was healed on Friday, June 29, 2018. He was cared for at IU Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Logan was born November 11, 1983 in Daviess County. He was a life-long member of First General Baptist Church and a 2003 graduate of Daviess County High School. He loved hunting, the outdoors, his horse Buck, his dogs Dixie and Ruger, and his 1992 Chevy pickup. Logan enjoyed listening to old classic country music, going to the Grand Ole Opry, and traveling, especially going to the Smoky Mountains. He also enjoyed just sitting around the wood burning stove at the farm, all types of motorsports, especially dirt track racing, and watching old Westerns. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Logan loved everyone he met, he never met a stranger, and loved the children he met at the Faith Home while on a mission trip to Honduras.
Logan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Watkins, uncles, Tom Lockhart and Aaron Watkins, great uncle Larry Buckman, and a great aunt and uncle, Patty and Todd Sweeney.
Cherishing his memories are his parents, Sonya and Tony Lockhart of Owensboro, his dear brother Josh Lockhart of Owensboro, grandparents, Judy and Ralph Lockhart of Owensboro and JoNell Bellew of Owensboro. Aunts and uncles include Pam Lockhart of Owensboro, Regina and Neville Watkins of Clarksville, TN, Mary and Todd Watkins of Tallahassee, FL, Tammy and Michael Watkins of Evansville, IN, Loretta and Barend Watkins of Jacksonville, FL, and Emily and Bruce Collins of Monticello, FL, cousins, Michelle Lockhart, Maggie Watkins, Natalie and Lindsey Watkins, Saxon and Cheyanne Watkins, Macey, Aubrey, and Braden Watkins, and Mason, Peyton, and Aaron Collins. Also surviving are great aunts and uncles, Sue Rairden, Jim and Jeanne Haight, Harry and Peg Bellew, Jim and Liz Bellew, Mary Beth Buckman, George and Shirley Dieterle, Mark and Martha Abshier, Joe and Beverly Rudy, and Sue Rairden.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 6, at First General Baptist Church at 620 Maple Avenue with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Friday at First General Baptist Church.
