Lloyd Cox

Lloyd Cox, 80, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015, while under the care of Hospice of Western KY. He was born August 30, 1934 in Owensboro, to the late Alfred and Clora Romans Cox. He retired from W. R. Grace and Daramic. Lloyd was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church and the Caleb Sunday School Class. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Delsie Hayden, Flossie Hagan, Madie Newcom, Mabel Freels, and Erdine Logsdon and brothers, Ertis Cox and Walter Cox.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Cox and a sister-in-law, Nannie Jean McCaskill of Monroe, LA. Also several nieces and nephews including Anna Johnson, Mary Mattingly, Jan Lampkin, Carolyn Crane, Bruce Cox, Brian Cox, Dean Newcom, Mike Freels, Caron Eshbaugh, Pat Wellman, Kim Logsdon, Kevin Logsdon, Roy McCaskill, and Judy Corkern.

Services will be 12 Noon Thursday, August 20, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory officiated by Dr. Dennis McFadden. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
