Lisa Carolyn Rock

Lisa Carolyn Rock, 62, of Owensboro, Kentucky, died peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Born May 7, 1964, to the late Thurston Baker Rock and the late Ruth Carolyn Taylor Rock in Hartford, she grew up in Centertown with her three brothers, the late Richard Baker, Mark Wayne, and Randall Brent; she was the youngest of four. She graduated from Ohio County High School and Western Kentucky University.

She was predeceased by her parents and stepmother, Thurston, Ruth, and Brenda Rock, and by her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Bonnie Rock. She is survived by her brothers, Mark of Centertown, Randy (Ruth) of Nashville and their children, Daniel (Bri), Joseph, and Mimi, her brother Nathan (Toby) Rock of Beaver Dam and their daughters Madalyn (Hawkins) Rock and Marley Rock, and her sister Eva Rock and several great nieces and nephews and her stepsisters Cindy Walker and Rhoda Smith Robinson and their families, and her niece Sara Rock and her family, and many cousins and their families.

Lisa was a kind and gentle soul who loved the Lord and prayed for all whose paths crossed hers. She studied music and the Bible and was beloved by those who cared for her.

Special thanks to those who made her transition peaceful and surrounded by their loving care.

A private graveside service will be held at 11:00 am at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, Utica, Kentucky on Thursday, October 15, 2026, with Fr. David Carletta officiating. In lieu of flowers, gifts to charities in her memory, especially for those in need, are appreciated.
