Lindle Ellsworth Daugherty

Lindle Daugherty, Sr., 76, of Owensboro, died, Sunday, June 2, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The McLean County native was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church; was retired from Thompson Homes where he was a painter for 40 years; a member of AARP; enjoyed fishing, dancing and gospel music; and was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha J. McMahan Daugherty in 1989.

He is survived by two sons, Lindle E. Daugherty, Jr. and Everett A. Daugherty, Sr. both of Owensboro; a sister, Mildred Lee Daugherty of Louisville; six grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Fuenral services are 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M. on Tuesday and after 10 A.M. on Wednesday.
