Linda Joe Sanford

Linda Joe Sanford, 70, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Wellington Parc. She was born on July 20, 1942 in McLean Co., KY to the late Joe and Mary Virginia Duke Houston. She was retired as a secretary after 14 years with All-Seasons Siding Co. and also had previously worked at General Electric Co. Linda was a member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church, and enjoyed going to the family cabin at Lake Barkley where she loved boating and fishing. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing in their sporting events, traveling, playing bunco, and aerobics.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gerald Sanford, two sons, Jeff and his wife Dr. Misty Brey-Sanford of Owensboro and Mike and wife Jean Sanford of Knoxville, TN, four grandchildren, Dylan and Payton Sanford of Owensboro, Tyler and wife Hannah Sanford of Knoxville and Emily and husband Adam Coleman of Knoxville, five great grandchildren, Cody, Easton, Cade, Lucas, and Aspen, a brother, Steve and wife Marsha Houston of Owensboro, and nieces and nephews, Clay, Stephanie, and Todd (Erica) Houston.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 18, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 P.M. Sunday and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
