Linda Brannen McKinney

July 17, 1944 — October 30, 2014

Following a long battle with Bronchiectasis, Linda Brannen McKinney, 70, of Owensboro, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 30, 2014. She was born in Clearwater, Florida on July 17, 1944 to the late Jesse M. "Fuzz" and Jessie A. McCain Brannen.

Linda was a member of St. John United Methodist Church and was retired from Glenmore Distilleries. Her hobbies included counted cross-stitch, reading, playing games on her iPad, watching golf and U.K. Basketball. Linda was also a Kentucky Colonel.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Brannen and her Yorkie, Samantha.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, H.G. McKinney; her new puppy, Shadow; a son, Rev. Dr. Jesse M. Brannen (Susan) of Kingwood, Texas; step-son, Tyler McKinney (Laura) of Suwanee, Georgia; step-daughter, Tammy Hicks (Bryan) of Evansville; grandchildren, Joshua Brannen (Taryn) of Tyler, Texas, Sara Brannen Brown (Ed) of Tyler, Texas, Jesse M. Brannen, III of Nashville, Tennessee and Corbin and Reed McKinney of Suwanee, Georgia; great grandson, McCain Lee Brown of Tyler, Texas ; great-granddaughters, Lillian Marie Brown and Vivian Aline Brown, both of Tyler, Texas; a brother, John Brannen (Hong) of Schererville, Indiana; sisters, Juanita Brannen and Mary Coomes (David), both of Owensboro, and Sally Brannen of Mayfield, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 12 PM Monday, November 3 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Peggy Smith will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 - 5 PM and on Monday after 10 AM at the funeral home
