Linda Margaret Stephens Lamar, 72, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on November 1, 1939 in Daviess Co. KY to the late Edward H. and Mary Davis Stephens. Linda was a retired Registered Nurse after 30 years of service having worked at Mercy Hospital and Owensboro Medical Health System. She was a devout Christian and sang in several choirs including the Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church choir. She was a soloist when she went to Owensboro High School and loved going to plays at the Riverpark Center and Broadway in New York. She also loved flowers, playing the piano, jewelry, and her cat Lilly. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Lamar on September 19, 2008.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa A. Lamar (Brian Hobbs) of Owensboro, cousins, Marilyn Lyons of Tinley Park, IL, Tommie Gene Davis of Evansville, and Ben Davis of the Nashville, TN area, and many dear friends.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 18, in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Private burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 8:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
