Linda Faye Fowler

Linda Faye Fowler, 70, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at her home, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, OK to the late J. Randy Shultz and Ethel Lucille Miller Shultz.  Linda graduated from Owensboro Junior Business College (Daymar) where she was on the President’s List each semester. Linda went on to have a successful career with the role of Manager at both One Park Place and Auto America. Linda finished her notable career when she retired after 13 years from Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation (Warren RECC, Bowling Green, KY) where she served as a line locator.

Linda was an explorer, retiring to Bradenton, FL with her husband of 23 years, Richard Fowler.  She enjoyed going to new places and meeting new people. Her favorite trips were to Slovenia and London.

Linda enjoyed showing her love through cooking, specifically making fresh baked bread & homemade ice cream for her grandchildren. Linda loved to entertain family and friends, going out of her way to create comfort for others.  Linda enjoyed volunteering at Cortez Museum (Bradenton, FL), loving and caring for her beloved dog Bitsie, and a cocktail by the beach.

In her downtime, Linda enjoyed reading a good book and watching her favorite TV shows, such as Dancing with the Stars, Bobby (Flay) and Damaris and Virgin River. She passed on her love of reading to her children and her grandchildren.

Linda loved her Lord, Jesus Christ, whether it be in the church of her youth, Hawesville Baptist or the church of her last days, Blessed Mother Church, she knew to whom she belonged.
