Linda Carol Drake Tanner

Linda Carol Drake Tanner, 79, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday June 24, 2025, while at the Heartford House under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born January 6, 1946, in Madison, WV, to the late Athol and Jenny Opal Barker Drake.

Linda was a wonderful wife to her husband, a special mother to her son, and a dear grandmother to her grandchildren. She was a people person, along with her family she loved her many friends, Linda was blessed with a special gift of relating to people. She was very artistic and crafty, loved cross stitching, and always kept her home decorated immaculately with her good taste.

Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by a grandson, Colton Tanner; and six of her siblings, Dorsey, Charlotte, Keith, Karen, Neil, and Maurice.

Linda is survived by her husband of 62 years, Noah Tanner of Owensboro; a son, George (Melissa) Tanner of Louisville; a granddaughter, Lauren Tanner; and one brother, Paul Drake.

The visitation for Linda will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday June 26, 2025, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. The burial will be at 1 p.m. EST Friday, June 27, 2025, in Louisville Memorial Gardens East Cemetery.
