Lina Elenore Utz Hagan, 89, of Owensboro, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Heartford House. She was born on July 6, 1924 in Gelbingen, Germany to the late Andreas and Rosine Prosi Utz. She was the youngest of 13 siblings and was a survivor of the Holocaust. She came to the United States in 1961 and worked for the U. S. Governent. In 1963 she became a Christian and faithfully served the Lord the rest of her life evangelizing and teaching his word. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a pastor's wife for 40 years. She was also preceded in death by a stepdaughter and her husband, Mary Hagan Jolly and Herman and many siblings.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Rev. Joseph A. Hagan, a stepson, George Allen (Sharon) Hagan of Owensboro, three stepdaughters, Frances (Ken) Hall of Maryland, Judith (Louis) Norris of Owensboro, and Barbara (Byron) King of Utica, 19 stepgrandchildren, 44 step great grandchildren, several step great great grandchildren, a dear friend, Mildred Graves of Bowling Green, and many dear church friends
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 9, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 8:30 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
