Lily R. Bolton Young

Lily R. Bolton Young, 83, of 1141 Greenbriar Road, Utica, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born April 12, 1918 in Daviess County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Orion Cox and Oma Carrie Fields Bolton.

Mrs. Young was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking. She was a member of Utica Baptist Church where she was nursery coordinator and was active in Church Shut-In ministries. She has been director of Womens Missionary Union.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Marvin O. Young; two sons, Phillip B. Young of New Albany, IN, and Marvin D. Young of Columbia, SC; a daughter, Bonnie Y. Rhoades of Utica; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday July 26, 2001 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Everett Berry. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends at Glenn Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday July 25, 2001 and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
